Let it snow!

We got the most beautiful eight-inch snow last night! Our yard guys have already come and dug us out, so I have no reason not to get out. Husband Niks is usually a stick-in-the-mud, but when it snows, he changes! He loves to be out and about when we have snow.

So we're off and running. I have miles to go and promises to keep.

Have a great day everyone! Especially you kids who got a snow day off from school.

Yeah, we're getting the snow now. It's very pretty. I'm glad I'm not going anywhere, though.

That's a funny cartoon. If you want to spend the afternoon fireside, tell Niks I said you could.

Too bad it wasn't that stupid Rudolph. That Rudolph raises my hackles, he's so stupid. Did I mention that I think the concept of Rudolph is stupid? If not, it is.

We did get snow earlier in the week and the kids had a snow day. Now it's down to just enough to coat all but the roads and look pretty.

Today was a 2 hour delayed opening. There's no snow on the road. Just freezing rain last night that has long since melted Those Virginians.

Hmmppfff. Snow days? What's that? In Florida we get hurricane days, though.

A snow day off from school? Plain weird.
Is it so they can play in the snow? Very considerate. I hated when I was young in school, looked out the window and the first snow fell :(

That cartoon proves that even Santa can have bad luck now and then. First, a dead Frosty, and now, a reindeer with a broken leg. Poor guy will have to be put down. I hope Santa brought along his shot gun.

Enjoy your day, Niks & TLP.

...so, Santa won't be delivering toys this year? Even to those of us that behave ourselves? Hmmmm...in my opinion, this is the perfect excuse not to!!

8 inches.....wow. That's about 7 3/4 inches more than we have here in the far side of Mapleleafland. Canada the Great White North? Apparently not today!

Hope you had lots of fun in the cold stuff and maybe even made a new Frosty!

Great cartoon. I'm not a big fan of snow, but I guess I'm a little like Niks. I used to get pretty excited about it for the first few hours, then I was ready for it all to melt.

If only it was that easy.
