All I want for Christmas

Radio question of the day:
60 percent of married men cannot do this at Christmas time. What is it?

***********************************

Well, we're closin' in on Christmas. Hope you have all your shopping done. I have everything ready except the things that can't be done this far ahead, like buying some food products that I want as fresh as possible. Some cooking of course has to be done at the last minute also.

What do you want for Christmas? I mean other than World Peace and such. I know you were gonna ask for "World Peace." You guys. So sweet. But just this once, be selfish. What one material thing that is strictly for yourself, would you want for Christmas?

Don't worry I'm not going to rush out and buy it, so the sky's the limit. Just one thing. Just for you. What does your heart-of-hearts desire for Christmas?

********************

Answer to question of the day: They cannot remember what they got their wife the year before.

I want an immersion blender. I never heard of them until yesterday, when I made soup and my friend in New York told me about this appliance I do not want to live without. 220volts.

Ooops. I forgot. I'm Jewish. Well, for Chanukah then.

Your disclaimer is totally wrong! Your site is NOT boring... it's quite interesting and you are a riot! I just love your Lucy Pez.
As far as what I really, really want for Christmas, it's an AlphaSmart 3000 - a palm-run laptop alternative (like a mini laptop that only takes text). It's great for writing anywhere and it runs 700 hours on 3 AAA batteries. Gotta love it.
Happy holidays!

All I want is a warm soft spot to lay, something to eat and a slow hand petting me. Woof! And maybe a chew toy that has a fishy smell.

I want to own a nice house in South Carolina or Georgia.

I'm not surprised that they can't remember what they gave their wives for Christmas. I can't remember either!
I know I got a coat last year from my mother... gosh I'm going senile!

I want someone like you, to love and be with. Material things are meaningless, if you don't have someone to share them with...

Savtadotty, I should have included all holidays! Forgive me. We atheist have trouble remembering to be PC.

Nienke Hinton, heck, sounds as if I want that too!

Tom and Icy, Listen Tom, I know that Icy wasn't the one wantin' the fishy smell. Bad boy!

Jamie Dawn, I can't remember what Niks gave me for my birthday, and that was only 21 days ago. I'm guessing that it was not so exciting.

Keith, Awww....I wish that for you too.

Tan Lucy Pez said...

Mary, can't help you there. My kids were hard enough.

Lula, well you got a good Dad.

I want the numbers to the next Powerball drawing. And to have the ticket for it, too. I'd use the money for a new house, enough $$ in the girls' college accounts to pay for it all and to travel. Actually, before I would travel, I hire a personal trainer to get me in shape to wear fashionable clothing.

Clever post title, great minds think alike. You'll see what I mean below...

This is what I want for Christmas.

I want money. Lots and lots of money...to buy all the other things i want for christmas. I would also like to exchange this administration we have for a new one. Even if they suck too, at least it would be something new to grow to hate. ..ok, enough of that.

I want money, lots and lots of money...you know the song.

Other than to win a $300 million jackpot in Las Vegas, I suppose I want this.

A 25 foot power cat with twin 150 horsepower 4 stroke outboard engines, a t-top with a half tower, a float on trailer, and a full electronic package INCLUDING forward looking side scanning sonar, a digital color fish finder, a Standard Horizion CP-750 or CP-1000 chartplotter, a Quest Plus marine VHF radio, marine radar, and an anchor windlass with about 500 feet of line. Oh yea and a full size Toyota Tundra pickup with the full towing package to pull the thing.

Total cost, just a little bit over $100,000. I am worth it. I will even take you fishing once or twice.

By the way, Tut is going to be in Philly in 2007!!

I want to wake up Christmas morning to a note from John saying he is leaving me for another woman. Material things: Hmm, how bout a nice prada purse? You buyin?

Libby said...

tlp, i'm thinkin', all i want, really, really want is a maid. Cuz Kev does most of the cleanin' & cookin' here, + he works full-time:-( That's it! She can be the 'kitchen woman' & i'll be the 'bedroom woman'!

Paula said...

I was going to say a laptop until I say the post about the maid . . .

I want my credit card bills paid off in full. Should I send you the address?

Tan Lucy Pez said...

dddragon, if I ever hit a jackpot, you're rich.

DiamondKT, wish I could give you one.

KristieD, apparently you are not alone.

Lazy I, I guessed that. I wrote to Santa on your behalf. You DO believe, right?

Christine, not buyin', but I'd lend you a foot to help kick John out.

Liby and Paula, maids are the new Tickle Me Elmo, I gather!

Kenju, sure. Send the address. I'll need your credit card numbers too of course. I might need the expiration dates....

Walela wants a pet squirrel and Willie said something about a crippled reindeer. Not sure why.

I want my blogfriends to have a great holiday.

If I could have just one wish, it would be for my 4 yo daughter to be able to independantly stand and walk right now, minus the years of therapy she faces.

If I could have a selfish materialist wish, it would be to have a regular car, no more mommy mobile with sliding doors. I think those cars with the big bows on them in the commercials are wooing me.

Tan Lucy Pez said...

Dang, Doug! Those dogs are a tad hungry maybe? Feed'em!

Sar, oh, how I wish someone could give your daughter that gift! That car is in your future. Maybe distant though.

The Lazy Iguana said...

Ill believe in purple monsters that live on the moon if on December 25 there is a 25 foot power cat with twin 150 outboards and all that other stuff in the front yard.

Sar said...

Thanks, TLP. Prayers and/or positive, encouraging thoughts like yours go a long way. :)

I was going to say the answer to the radio question was "remember that it Christmas". At least that's it for me!

If grades could be given out as Christmas presents, I'd want a 100% GPA for Christmas...

Or a Corvette (convertible or Z06). Man, that car is so cool...

Oh, and Doug has a good wish, about everyone having a great holiday. So, I'd wish for that too. And I wish I wasn't so greedy...*sigh*

Too much wishing and wanting...

mireille said...

I'm with Goa'uld. I want a 4.0 next term. And a bottle of Chergui perfume. And another year of blogging with my buddies. ♥ xoxo

LOL at your answer above, TLP. If you saw the bills, you would run away fast!

Thanks for the visit today; yes, I own 32 fans, and I have put most of them on the blog already.

Forgot this: yes, I do remember! I think it was Hadacol. I don't ever remember taking it, but I remember hearing and seeing the advertizements for it on TV and radio. I think it was about 80% alcohol. I'm going to google it and see what I get.
