A day at Hershey

Today my husband and I took Bonnie (my sister) to Hershey Chocolate World and then to the Hershey Gardens.

She loves everything. She really enjoyed the Chocolate World tour. I bought tee shirts for her to take home to her grandchildren. Naturally, when you are in Hershey, you eat CHOCOLATE. Boy, I do love chocolate!

The Gardens are in wonderful bloom. Acres and acres of beautiful flowers, most especially roses. No way to describe it. Again, she loved it. We also saw the butterfly exhibit. They are so light and airy, and they flutter all around you.

Temperature was just right. Bonnie talked a lot as usual, but I dealt with it better. Just smiled a lot.

I really do love Chocolate World. That is a fun thing to do. I'm glad Bonnie is having fun... I know she doesn't get to do much.

I like it that you're nice to your sister. And I remember that Hershey smelled like chocolate. A whole town that smells like chocolate. At least it did in 1967.

You sure it was chocolate?

I've never been there, but my wife has explained it to me rather thoroughly. Seems her father dragged the family up there every summer for five or six years.

Understandably, she doesn’t really want to go.

I'm glad you posted this - I'll at least check it out on-line.

Yes, the air is chocolatey. I'm always up to go. And Kiddie A loves the roller coasters at Hersheypark.

The town definitely smells of chocolate. *deep breaths*

It's a happy place. You have to smile there.
