Frost on the Pumpkin
Radio question of the day: nearly 10 per cent of women don't trust their mates when it comes to this?
I heard this on the way to meet my friend for our morning walk. So I steered with my knees while calling in to the radio station. I guessed anything. But I was wrong again. So then I guessed that probably 99 per cent of women don't trust their mates when it comes to anything. But the radio guys didn't know about that. Those guys. I'm probably right on that part.
There was frost this morning. Not at my house, but only a mile away driving through the cornfield to the park, there was frost. Beautiful time of year. And it's going to be a beautiful day.
Happy Halloween and Happy Day to you.
Answer to the radio question of the day: doing the laundry. That comes under the "anything" category, doesn't it? I shoulda won. Heck. Cheated again.

While my mate is wonderful in MANY ways, LAUNDRY is NOT one of them.
youabsolutely shoulda won! count me in on that 10% figure. i saw how he handled laundry before we got married. scary stuff! happy halloween and welcome back!
Money was my guess.
But i agree laundry fits in the anything category. So - what happens if you guess right? Money?
Happy Halloween. I think the question should have been phrased differently. 90% of women trust their mates to do this correctly.
My hubby never sorts the clothes by color. He will wash jeans and black t-shirts with white clothes, and never think a thing about it. I usually do the laundry, but now and then, he "helps" out with it. Of course, he leaves the clothes in the dryer where they get terribly wrinkled after sitting for hours.... I must be in that 10%.
Happy Halloween!! Have some chocolate!
Radio stations always screw over people with the best answer. It's in their nature not to be wrong.
3d: You're right. Great husband and wonderful father. Crams the washer too full of clothes.
Thanks Lime!
Lucy: I forget what you win, 'cause I never do. But it's not much I'm sure. Maybe a lunch or something.
Doug: Then my answer would have been nothing. I'm that kinda gal.
J.D.: These guys. I think they fail this task on purpose in order not to have to do it.
Hoss: Glad you're on my side. One of these days I'm gonna guess the answer. Or not.
I have no illusions, TLP.
Hey, is that a flying frog?
DH is so easy going ... but he MUST have his knit shirts folded so they aren't wrinkly. Which means they can't stay in my mountain-o-clothes-to-fold for very long ... which means I have to get to them quickly before the mountain cools down ... which means ... jeez, I had no idea how high pressure laundry was. xoxo oh, and Happy Halloween to you, too, TLP!
Doug: Why yes, so it is.
LibbY: You're lucky. Just let him have his way on this.
ActonBell: He can't wear pink underwear? Talk about anal!
Just tell him that real men wear pink...all over.
Mireille: But it's not so important that he DOES IT HIMSELF. This is a common trait with males.
Happy Halloween to you, too, TLP. The Missus would most certainly fall into that 99% category.
Lol Fred. SO DO BETTER MAN!
I don't think it's a gender thing; I think it's a spouse thing. We all find flaws with our spouses and get cynical about certain of their skills... even though we love them and trust them with the important stuff.
ap3: Right! The original question used the word MATE. But it did say "women" for the first half of the mate equation. People just commented on their own situation.
But notice that Doug is correct about the fact that MOST women DO trust their mate to do the laundry.
The couples I know whether male/female, female/female, male/male, all fall into the pattern of one of them feeling as if they are doing more than their share of the housekeeping.
LOL, thanks for the comment over at my place. that is SO funny! I'm glad you enjoyed the post and shared the giggle. I got a kick out of the coincidence.
I think sometimes guys do things on purpose. They know that women have preconceived ideas and they just need to wash one time, deliberately putting white towels with jeans and a red bra and the woman- reassured in her beliefs- will henceforth commit to the laundry while the guy is excused for it...forever!
I made my gy participate in the laundry and he got very good at it!
Laundry?? Lame! And does that indicate that 90% of us trust men to do the laundry or just that 90% of us are aware they'd never bother to ATTEMPT to do it in the first place so we TRUST them to leave it the hell alone??
