Planet Earth
Radio Question of the Day:
According to a popular women's magazine, people who do this at least eight times a day live longer...what is it?
********************************************
Have you been watching the BBC nature documentary series, Planet Earth? It’s shown on the Discovery Channel, and it’s wonderful. It’s described by its makers as “the definitive look at the diversity of our planet.” (Per Wikipedia.)
I highly recommend it.

Answer to the radio question of the day:
No! Not fight!
Hug. That's better.
Uh...eight is a lot. Just sayin'.
I'm guessing that most folks who get eight hugs a day are under age 9 or 10. So, well, duh, I guess they will live longer. But whatever. Don't take chances. Hug everybody you see today. See what happens. You can e-mail the results from jail. I guess. There's e-mail from jail, no?

We'll check that show out. Thanks.
We miss being young and with the family. But maybe your daughters send e-hugs.
with 3 dogs in the house, 8 hugs a day is no problem-o!
i might have said "laugh". something i try to do at least eight times a day. thanks to you, i've already reached my "quota" and then some! xox -- or should that be: ooooooooo? (8 hugs, right?)
what the heck were that dog and cat doing? They look like they are drunk and trying to dance the pasa doble!!
My daughter and I love Planet Earth! It's truely an amazing piece of television.
Hugs!!
Hi Lucy, this will have to be very quick as here in State Pen Queensland we only get 5 minutes on the computer... Just wanted to say thanks heaps for that hug thing.
Planet Earth was unbelievably beautiful.
Sorry, can't stay: must go in search of hugs. :-)
i was actually kinda worried that it might be 'exercise'...but of course, it could just as easily have been 'eat chocolate'...
I do not think that hugging a tiger 8 times a day will make you live longer.
I have seen some of the Planet Earth series. Maybe the whole thing. I watch Discovery often. And The Science Channel.
I think that the series is just a European propaganda tool to get the USA to believe in climate change :)
8 hugs a day would be nice. I've only had one today and don't think I'll get any more.
I don't know about e-mail from jail but surely they don't do that? Do they??
The nearest I get to a hug nowadays is a shrug and "Go away, you dirty old man!". I don't know why they say that; I only just had a bath on Christmas Eve!
I notice that in the colonies you spell "jail" different, it's "gaol" here in the motherland!
holy moly! my life is in jeopardy!!!
and i believe you asked for 5 questions and i am tickled that you did! here goes...
1. How did a Kentucky gal wind up in Pennsylvania?
2. What is an appropriate punishment for someone who tries to steal your chocolate?
3. We know your love of celebrating Groundhog's Day and you've taught us the importance of starting each month with Rabbit rabbit. What is this fixation on rodentia? Are there other furry critters you wish us to honor and if so, which ones?
4. Which book or piece of literature and which piece of music speak to your heart and soul the most deeply?
5. You get to host your favorite morning radio program for the day. Who is your sidekick and tell us what sorts of hijinx you'll have?
People who hug tigers live less long, I think. Ask Roy.
I said smile. Oh well, I guess I can wipe this fixed grin off my face and go hug somebody.
the show looks good, but with school, work and everything i never watch tv anymore...I work with a lady who really does hug everyone. she tells you that you need your quota of hugs and when you walk by she hugs you. it was weird at first, but now if i dont get my hug, i feel like i missed out on something. ;)
I get 8 hugs most of teh days...three nephews and a bunch of old people in my life...yes!
here is to Minka turning 100! Cheers!
There should be some way to equate human hugs with dog hugs. With four dogs and one cat to care for, I'm sure I get my alloted amount of affection before the humans even get a turn.
I don't think your blog is one bit boring.
LOL @Lazy Iguana! I don't think so, either... :)
TLP, the radio question reminded me of this video on YouTube, at first I was laughing at it but then I thought to myself, damn, I'd ask for a hug myself.
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=vr3x_RRJdd4,
I always wanted to be the sort of woman who you can tell is regularly hugged and - late in life - I am that woman. And I'm still here!
Gave you credit today (Sunday) for a woeful tale. Thanks.
You had the best earthday-like post ever! I don't know how I missed it. I LOVE the dog and cat pic - that is Hilarious!!!!!!!!!
Hugs make the world better.
