Gas Prices
Boy! The gas prices have really, really jumped!
Why? Is there suddenly less oil?
I just read that the cost of gasoline is highest in California, and lowest in Arkansas. Guess now everybody and her uncle will be movin' to Arkansas.
They may move to Arkansas, TLP. But they won't stay. Right, Bill? Hilary?
I'm told the prices are spiking 'cause the refineries are being shifted to the production of "summer gas" - and some of them, having to be shut down anyway, are shut down for longer for "maintenance".
Which means, of course, that any time Big Oil needs a price spike to meet Wall Street profit projections - hey presto, here comes a refinery shutdown "for maintenance".
I am in the middle of a sit-down over gas prices! I don't go much of anyplace I don't absolutely have to go (except last Mon. when I drove 70 miles to meet a blogger).
yeah -- i'm in no rush to move to Arkansas, either.
in keeping with your hilarious response to Lime: when i first started reading this post, i thought you were gonna suggest we all move someplace like the "Broccoli Capital", i.e. Greenfield, CA. ; ) xox

my theory is that now since heating oil season is over they have to find some other way to bleed us.
You may be right Lime.Yesterday I went into a gas station and
asked for two dollars worth of gas.....
The clerk farted and gave me a receipt.

Think feet.
I hope the spike in gas prices does not effect the price of beer.

pheu...I don´t have an uncle :) Got out of moving to Arkansas I guess!
They have been rising here for certain. Guess I'll have to get my bicycle out! Geesh! I hope they start going down instead of rising higher.
Which are the flat States Lucy in case I have to ride a bike when I visit?
Gas isn't that cheap in Arkansas.
LOL on your response to Lime, TLP!
I'm with Doug. If the gas in Arkansas were free, I still wouldn't go.
Now, I'm not (of course) making fun of Arkansas. But I'll just walk before I move there.
