Back home, is it spring yet?

My daughters and I had a ball in Punxsutawney PA, visiting Phil, the world's most famous groundhog. Isn't it strange how we adore this little rodent up in Punxsutawney, but hate the same type beast in our yards?

There was plenty of snow, and so I finally got my snow "fix." It was also cold, which doesn't bother me at all.

Here are 3D (left) and Acton Bell in groundhog hats:

I had a crazy groundhog hat too, not the same as either of theirs of course. I've got my pride.

All over town there are groundhogs which are decorated in various themes. Here's Acton Bell with one:

This one is a bellhop, and is in front of our hotel, the Pantall.

Here's me with another one, which is right in the park, next to where Phil lives.

Naturally we called AP3, to say Rabbit Rabbit on February 1, and then again from Gobblers Knob to interrupt her and generally annoy her and wish her a Happy Groundhog Day on February 2.

We just had a hoot the whole time. Y'all should try it some year.

You guys know how to have FUN! And what an attractive group-of-women-with-groundhog-paraphernalia! xoxo

Those hats are soooooo hawt, Im sure everyone will be wearing them next year.
Looks like a great time and if Lime is going, I am so getting in on this. My mother in law goes every other year or so, I will have to arrange to cross the country and get in on this action.

I have a crazy hurricane hat I wear when there is a hurricane. At least I HAD a crazy hurricane hat.

It blew away last year. I was not able to catch it because 90 mph wind blows a hat REALLY FAST.

Nice to see how nice you look - but then you would with that brother of yours:)

Looks like a hoot. How come you didn't post a picture of TLP in a groundhog hat like Actonbell did?

Looks like so much fun. The hats are great, but I want to see yours, too.

I think I am far too involved in the "blogger universe." The second I heard the results of Phil, I thought of you, TLP, being there to witness it all. Maybe someday I will get a real life of my own, but for now, thanks for letting me live vicariously through you.

TLP, I thought of you on Groundhog Day... I remembered you writing about Punxatawney Phil last year, too!

tlp, i don't need to go to pa for a groundhog, we have 'buckeye chuck' here in our town in ohio...but it's still too cold to go out....i just listen to the radio to find out if he saw his shadow..

According to me, Punx%*^)@#%&^(Punsx?) Phil is about 150 years old. I ain't traveling no 3,000 miles to see somebody on his deathbed.

This looks like so much fun, Lucy! I love all the Groundhog related goodies all over town...! You look FABULOUS in that picture, by the way...!
So, what did Phil do? I never did hear?
Your girls look like they had a fabulous time, too!

Great pictures, TLP. I enjoyed reading about your adventure.

Next year, come to Florida. It's much warmer, and there are no hurricanes to worry about.

I also read Acton's post about the trip.
It is clear that you ladies had a blast. I can tell it was fun by those big grins on your faces.
The silly hats are great!
You all look so happy even though your were most likely freezing your bohunkuses off.
Lovely pics of all three of you!!

GREAT pictures -- great post! SO glad you all had so much fun (tho' i'm certain it would have been even better had AP3 been able to join you out there) xox

WE could have a blogger-friends and family excursion to see that rodent next year. You guys could be guides and stuff...and of we can bring beer, I am sure it would be a blast!
Lovely pictures and there is snow there too? I thought it all landed here this year :)

Hi there, I’ve been relying on using Bloglines to do my daily rounds of the blogroll for a while now, it’s a very time saving method but it feels a bit impersonal at times, so it’s a hot Saturday, I’m gonna sit here and visit with everyone, It won’t feel any different to you but know that I chose to visit today instead of just answering an electronic reminder.
Have a good day.
That's a lovely photo of you Lucy, but BBrrr it looks cold

I did not think anyone could have fun in Pauxatawny.

In reality there are six "Phil"s and they all live in a storefront in town.
One is placed the day before.
