Fat Tuesday

February 5 is Strove Tuesday, or in south central Pennsylvania, it's Fausnaught Day! Yum yum.

Bet ya can't eat just one.

Pennsylvania has more "days" than anyplace else I've ever heard of. We're always looking for some excuse to eat.

Anyway, everyone, and I do mean everyone, eats at least one fausnaught on Fausnaught Day.

Happy day before Lent y'all.

Betcha I could eat just one. For some reason I crave donuts -- right up until I bite into one. And rarely do I ever finish the entire donut after I get one. This makes me sad. Donuts are so horribly not good for me that I know I should love them.

Kill a pig and you've got Mardi Gras down cold.

They look much more substantial than our skinny pancakes. I would eat just the one - to be polite of course:)

Do you put jam in your Fausnaught? I would hope so, then I for sure couldn't eat just one. Otherwise: Not.

You think if I moved up there I could get my own day?

I would call my day "Lazy Wednesday" and totally mess up a work week by placing a mandatory holiday in he middle of it.
