Ol' Hoss is gone to see Big Ernie

Lowell Gene Maudlin, born on both Oct. 1 and Oct. 2, 1930, died on March 10, 2009. Gene died utilizing Oregon’s Death with Dignity plan.

Guess that's why he stopped answering my e-mails inquiring as to his health.

He wrote his own obituary and this is the last line. “Maudlin plans to be cremated and then will reincarnate.” He often wrote about making his "pile" so that he could afford to be frozen until he could reincarnate.

You can click here to read his post telling about my daughters and I sending him the t-shirt that he is wearing in the above picture.

He was amazing. If you read his bl*g you know that, if not, it's too late.

Rest in peace Hoss and reincarnate real soon.

I did miss who he was but maybe I will catch him on his next visit to our current reality. He was born half on my BD.

I am sorry for the loss of your friend.

I heard about his passing. I think he is one of the first folks I know of in the blogging world who answered the question of if a blogger dies, how will anyone know what happens - i.e. their blog just sitting there forever not updated.
He was a real funny guy.

It's just not the same without him. The funny thing is I always assumed he really was your brother.
Sometimes I get Oregon on my referrals list and I have to remember it can't be Hoss. Can it?

What a lovely tribute TL....Hoss was an "ORIGINAL" in every way, and his great sense of humor---not unlike your own, my dear--lit up the Blog World.....
I LOVE that T-Shirt....!
I haven't been by in a long time and I miss reading you, my dear....Also, in two days it will be Rabbit, Rabbit...And the PERFECT Month for it, too!
So, consider this my official Rabbit, Rabbit, (two days early) as my way of tipping my virtual hat to you, my dear Tan Lucy....!
