Sign of the times

My Obama yard sign is stolen nightly. That's okay. I go daily and get a new one. No problem. I contribute to his campaign fund each time, so maybe it's for the best.

It's a bit scary, however, to think that thieves visit my yard at night. They come onto my property, and steal from me. Sad. If you pray, perhaps you could pray for them.

Another sign of the time, a happier sign, is how beautiful it is here in the autumn.

Since I visit the Obama headquarters on my side of the river so often, I'll be working there today. Things work out, no?

gees, what is wrong with people? have they not ever read the bill of rights, freedom of speech and such?

i swear i'd booby trap the sign somehow. that's not right.

but i am glad you don't seem to be letting it get you down and that you're spiting the thief. hehehe.

I've been wanting to steal the McLama-Failin sign in my neighbor's yard, but I've too much respect for people's opinions.

Why don't you put your sign inside in the window, so it can't be stolen?

That's funny. On my drive to work yesterday morning there was a sign in someone's yard that said "Someone stole my sign!" This morning that sign was still up between two Obama signs.

I'm innocent, by the way. At least of sign-stealing. And having an Obama sign.

A friend of mine had his small truck window broken, probably because he had a bumper sticker in the window.

Beautiful picture. Our temps are finally in the 60s at night so it;s beginning to feel more like fall down here.

And the Black Box didn't bring me.

My mom has had her Obama sign stolen twice. The second time it was changed out for a McCain sign.

As if that was going to change her vote.

I already early voted.

Thank you for your beautiful picture. Our leaves are changing too - but not as fast.

People who have fences keep their signs longer.

The Unitarians around here are up in arms about this issue, as many signs have been stolen repeatedly. You should report it to the police. Also, one of the UU's was volunteering to put roofing tar along the edge of signs. Apparently it stains badly, sticks, and won't come off. Another who had moved to VA said a creative theft victim rigged the sign to a voice message like, "God sees you stealing."

I didn't know you were in the trenches with Obama. I can't be, because I can't walk very far. Sure would like to be. I give, though, a lot.

The Obama people just sent me a pile of campaign buttons and a T-shirt for my latest contribution. I am so in hog-heaven.
