Summertime

Well, it's just about the dead middle of summer. Personally I like spring and fall and winter better than summer, but I do like summer anyway.

So many festivals! My friend Leah just called me and asked me if I want to go to the McClure Bean Soup Festival. That Leah.

Of course I said yes. It's not until September. I have time to buy some Beano©. Besides September is a very nice month here.

Notice that it's not just a soup festival. It's a BEAN soup festival. I'm amazed and intrigued.

Meanwhile I've been to Roots Farmers' Market (Here you say Ruts Market.) with somebody (whoever you are you are very important to me....) and to the Saturday Market with daughter Actonbell, and to the Green Dragon Market with walking buddy Irene. I'm having more fun than a human being should be allowed to have.

I'm eating all too well.

What the heck are YOU up to?

I went to the farmer's market in back yard on Sunday. Got some pico de gallo fixin's, sweet corn and thai chilis. My skin hates summer but my belly enjoys the hell out of it.

Will they be showing Blazing Saddles at the bean soup festival?

Summer is my least fave season, too, but I'm panting (curtsey to Doug, His Highness) for my tomotoes to turn red.

Beautiful display. Three of the four months I am a carnivore, but in summer I eat only fresh veggies.

If you'd come by every so often, you wouldn't have to ask, but we're alive and well, thanks. We've passed our first year anniversary and still find ourselves happily in love with each other.

At least you are eating healthy. I keep finding myself at the jello shots festival for some reason.

Trying to sort out computer problems, trying to stop MTL from stripping the house prior to work being done and nursing a sick shoulder. Fun things like that:)

Will there be lentil soup? I love lentil soup. I'm trying to enjoy this weather as long as possible, before it's time to be couped up again.

I so miss the wonderful markets in Nice: here, vegetables and fruit are anemic.

Just finished reading the proofs of the book I translated recently; getting ready (mentally) for Leonard Cohen's concert on Thursday. :-)

We have lots of music festival around. Bean Soup festival sounds just great. One kind of music festival, huh?

I'm up to 140/79. I need to take more pills so the doctor is happy.

A bean soup festival! How neat! I'm glad you are preparing with beano in advance. Smart move!

I went to Blogstock08 and I left on the 1st and forgot to say Rabbit Rabbit. Yikes. Well, I'll say it twice next month.

I love the Farmer's Market and frequent ours regularly! Good stuff!! I'm glad you are having so much fun!!
