I don't buy beer by the gallon, so I hadn't noticed this. Since I don't buy beer by the gallon, I probably don't care -- about the price of beer. The price of gas I care about.

It's amazing that beer ever wasn't cheaper than gas. I get a lot farther on gas.

...hmmmmm...pack of cigarettes=gallon of gas...some places a gallon of milk is more expensive i've heard...
I get more miles to the gallon with beer than I do with gas. So, as you guessed: Finally!
With people that use a lot of both they may have to give one or the other up or slack off some anyway!! I don't drink but I do drive.
