It's dangerous out there

Radio Question of the Day:

Twelve states now offer public school students the option to earn credits in this subject by attending online classes. What is the subject?

*******************************
I’m getting out of shape ‘cause my walking buddy Irene is remodeling her living room and is getting more exercise than she needs just by stripping wallpaper, sanding, painting, etc. So, we didn’t walk some days last week, and are skipping the first part of this week too.

You’re probably thinking that ol’ TLP could go walking in the mall all on her own. Well, you are so wrong! What if I got lost? What if some handsome knight on a white horse just swept me up and carried me away? Those handsome knights. I dare not go walking alone.

It’s not that I’m too damn lazy to walk and have to have a friend tapping her foot and waiting on me to meet her. Nope. Not that at all. It’s that a big, green, two-headed, three-toed, crossed-eyed, six-clawed, four-horned, orphan-reaping monster sits in front of the garage door and refuses to let me get the car out each morning that Irene isn’t going to meet me. Would I lie?

That wasn’t very nice. What you just said about me. Hrmpf. You bloggers.

Where was I before you guys started callin’ me a lazy ass? Oh, yeah! I was gonna give you the answer to the question of the day.

Answer to the Radio Question of the Day:

Phys-ed

Huh??? Well, it turns out that their source was Playboy Magazine. I’m going to say, “Consider the source.” No tellin’ what-all Playboy Magazine considers exercise. Oh! Maybe I shouldn’t poo-poo this idea until I’ve seen the exercise tapes. I should do some research. Any of you ever Google Playboy?

Online exercise is all the rage TLP.
Think of how fit you are getting right this minute, don't you feel better?

Hey Logo, you are so right. Not a thing wrong with my fingers and wrists. They are toned to the max.

Well, if bowling is a sport then why not have online physical education courses. Here is a sample question from the online test!

"What sport can you play while sitting on your duff, eating chicken wings and nachos while drinking beer by the pitcher?"

A. Water Polo
B. Soccer
C. Bowling
D. Marathon Running

personally, i am with you. i have a great big fanged, venomous and hideous monster outside my garage too, he keeps me from walking the 1.5 mile loop in my neighborhood.

ya think the knights would slay these monsters instead of sweeping us off?

I have a monster also. Gosh those things are really getting around! Online fitness is a big thing these days. I just don't see how you can keep motivated with fitness online, but I guess some people can.

First of all, a belated Happy Birthday. I don't blog as often as I used to, so I'm missing out on some of the important events.

Phys-ed? What do they do...lift the keyboard to pump up their muscles?

Peter said...

Do they have writin' in Playboy? I thought it was just a picture book.

Libby said...

...no, peter, they do kegal exercises...and don't ask 'what are those?'
anyway, tlp...you could always go help your friend do her house?

Re walking i have that very same problem, but my son 2 comes this week-end so we may get to do more of the Coleridge Way.

What do they exercise, their fingers?

I missed the question again. I guessed film-making. I am too practical.

No, I never googled Playboy and I am afraid to.....LOL

I have a monster too, apparently, but I never knew it before this. I just thought I was lazy.

Those big, green, two-headed, three-toed, crossed-eyed, six-clawed, four-horned, orphan-reaping monsters!

The Santa Clarita one keeps me backed up to the fridge with nowhere to run except through the door.

Heh--cries for psychiatric help. That certainly sounds like me!
It was too cold out to walk most days last week. I'm not sure if I'm too lazy to get cracking on it like I should again or just too damn tired because of my crazy work schedule. I'll use working night shift as an excuse. It usually works!

Last week i used "being sick" as my excuse for not exercising, but now that i'm back in full good health, i guess i have none. figures. there's never been a good excuse for me, anyway, why should now be any different? xox

I need to get my butt in gear and start exercising again, too. Time to get the bike out and pump up the tires so *I* don't end up with a spare tire!

Nessa said...

With Playboy as the source I can only imagine the kind of exercise they are getting.

Hi TLP. BASIP is finally up, btw. You lazy @$$.

Kyahgirl said...

*sigh* its always a battle isn't it? Once I'm exercising I enjoy it but there is a huge activation energy required to get me in motion!

tell Irene to hurry up...better yet...volunteer to be her unpaid help :-)

It's all Irene's fault.

I love walking and try to walk often, does not happen as much as I would like, like everyone else I seem to run out of time in my day. Playboy? the mind simply boggles, or was that the eyes ogle. Cheers Margaret

I like how you integrated the subject of your question with the subject of your post--and clearly, you have suggested an intriguing solution to your problem. . . .

google Playboy. Not as of yet...but feed me with an idea and I might just check :)

It is always better to walk in company, that way the conversation will drown out teh aching muscles. I totally understand :)

You're still watching the exercize video, aren't you, TLP?
