ReplyDeleteThose early days of the AIDS Crises were horrible, beyond words. The first person that I knew who died of AIDS lived down the hill from me. He was a wonderful Actor/Writer/Painter....and it was 1983! After he died. the went into his apartment and fumigated and sanitized and then, they painted, etc...People were, as you said, scared and uninformed....! He was treated like your friend. It was early on, but still....so inhuman and inhumane! People wen quickly back then....there were no drugs then....and then, what they came up with was terribly toxic....It was a very terrible time.
Glad to read you had a GOOD Birthday dear TLP! Hope December will be an okay month for youy...I am So Not Ready for Christmas! (lol)
