Taxpayers 1, Legislators ZIP

We won! We called, we wrote letters, some of us, like dddragon, went down to the Capitol Building and protested, and son of a gun, we got them to repeal the big raise they gave themselves.

Of course, they are still the fourth highest paid jerks in the lawmaking world, but we did knock'em down two pegs.

I give big credit to the Harrisburg Patriot News for this. The paper in Philadelphia didn't do diddley squat to help.

Congratulations. DIdn't Dddragon have a quote of the speaker saying it wouldn't be repealed about a week ago? As our Governor would say "It's Fahntahstic vat kon hoppen ven you go to de peepul!"

Woo hoo!!! TLP, that's fantastic!

Dddragon, let's you and me take on DC! Hey, that rhymes & it's kinda catchy -- that could be our slogan!

Taking it to the people, let's you and me take on DC.

(Paid for by the Dddragon & Sar '08 campaign committee.)

I'm going to use this in my class to show the kids what political activists are, and how voices actually are sometimes heard in a democracy.

Great story.

As an update, we have every intention of staying on this. Don't know if we can vote some of them out, but we will be trying to do just that.
